Summary of the facts of global warming.

  • The Earth is warming. All the ice is melting.

  • Reducing or increasing the atmosperic carbon dioxide level will have only a small effect on global warming.

  • Methane (CH4) can have very little effect on global warming because the Earth emits very little radiation at the frequencies that methane blocks.

  • Additional carbon dioxide may endanger ocean fisheries by destabilizing the calcium carbonate in marine organisms at the base of the ocean food chain.

  • Burning fossil fuels and increasing the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and oceans is not a good thing to be doing.
